MT-1 is a melanocortin analogue studied for pigmentation with a cleaner side-effect profile than Melanotan II.

What does it do?

Helps skin build a deeper, more even tan
Darkens pigment more slowly than MT-2
Has less effect on appetite and libido
Is used when color is the main goal
Still can darken moles and freckles
Needs some UV or sun to show fully

How does it work?

Stimulates melanocortin receptors that control melanin
Is more selective than MT-2, so extra effects stay lower
Increases eumelanin production in the skin
Color develops as melanocytes respond and UV exposure continues

What to expect?

Tan builds more slowly than with MT-2
Stomach upset is usually milder
Freckles can still darken
The result looks more like a gradual tan than a sudden dye
Maintenance doses are needed to keep the color
